From Ron

I've been told that the blues scene is dying in the area. I'm not so sure of that. About 2 weeks ago, I was at the Logan Inn on Wednesday night listening to Steve & Richard. On Thursday night I saw John Hammond at the Havana and then went to McStew's to see Johnny DeFrancesco. On Friday night I saw Joe Zook & Tony Buford perform at the Record Collector in Bordentown. That Saturday night, the Mojo Gypsies played at Ellarslie Mansion in Cadwalder Park. Over the next couple of weeks,  Rory Block, Hubert Sumlin and B.B. King will be performing at the Patriot's Theater, Roxy Perry will perform at Joseph's in Langhorne and Gina Sicilia will have her CD release party at Havana's and at The Triumph Brewery in Princeton. As you can see, there's alot of blues being performed by  nationally known acts and by our own local performers.
If you hear of any places or of any special events, please let me know. If you have any pictures of performers that you woud like to share, send them to me and I'll put them in this newsletter.

The TrentonBlues CD update:  I have received some songs from the last local performer so the lineup is complete. The final songs will be selected over the next week or so. Once the songs are selected, the licensing agreement will be sent out.  Click HERE to see a list of songs and performers. Click on the song title to hear a sample. As I promised, the CD will be distributed to those who have already paid the $20 subscription. I should be able to order some more, so if you want one, please sign up as a paid subscriber as soon as possible.

As always, if you have any suggestions or comments, please let me know.
